Hello! I am Burcu from Istanbul/Turkey. I was born in 1986, in Istanbul. I am a full-time architect & designer. I graduated from American Robert College and Istanbul Technical University Architecture Department. After working for EAA right after I graduated, I began to study Architectural Design in Bilgi University with 100% scholarship and Fashion Design at IMA. I quit going to both of those, in order to go back to professional life. I thought, it was enough academic study for me. During my academical years, I have attended many design workshops, done my internships in different fields of design. Best of all was the time when I get to represent one of my masters project called “Future Community in Istanbul: An Interpretation of Istanbul To Generate a New Urban Life”, done with Ebru Arkut Ulu and Onur Yüce Gün at eCAADe 2010 in Zurich. It is a very important conference in Computer Aided Design area. 

Since 2010, I have been working as an architect and designer at Metex Design Group. I love to design whatever comes to my mind, so I needed a medium to that. I own a design firm called Designroom that my friend İpek and I established in 2012, and since January 2013 I run it by myself.

I love to laugh and make people laugh. I believe that details make your life filled with pleasure. Here in my blog, I share with you the details that I like, I care, I use, I look for in my life. I also love to style myself and others, and be my own model. ;) I enjoy being a girl and welcome you to my girlie world. I cannot change your destiny, but I can make you smile and be inspired. Merhaba! Ben Burcu. 1986 İstanbul doğumluyum. İstanbul'da yaşıyorum. Mimarım, tasarımcıyım. Robert Kolej ve İTÜ Mimarlık mezunuyum. 1 sene EAA’da çalıştıktan sonra, Bilgi Üniversitesi Mimari Tasarım Yüksek Lisans programına %100 burslu olarak ve aynı anda İMA Moda Tasarım kursuna başladım. Her ikisini de aynı zamanda (1 sene sonra) profesyonel hayata tekrar dönmek uğruna terk ettim. Akademik hayatım boyunca çeşitli mimarlık ve tasarım çalıştaylarına katıldım; çeşitli tasarım stajları yaptım. Ebru Arkut Ulu ve Onur Yüce Gün  ile beraber geliştirdiğimiz “Future Community in Istanbul: An Interpretation of Istanbul To Generate a New Urban Life” isimli projemizi bilgisayar destekli tasarım için önemli bir konferans olan eCAADe 2010’da, Zürih’te sundum. 

2010’dan beri tam zamanlı mimar ve tasarımcı olarak Metex Design Group’ta çalışıyorum. Bunların yanında, aklıma ne eserse tasarlamayı sevdiğimden, Designroom adında, arkadaşım İpek’le 2012’de kurup bir süredir kendimin devam ettirdiği tasarım firmam var. 

Gülmeyi de, güldürmeyi de çok severim. Detayların hayatı daha keyifli kıldığına inanıyorum. Burada da, sevdiğim, gördüğüm, önemsediğim, özellikle aradığım detayları sizinle paylaşıyorum. Aynı zamanda kendim için ve başkaları için stiller oluşturmayı seviyorum, kendi mankenim olmayı da seviyorum. Kız olmaktan zevk alıyorum ve sizi bu kızsal dünyama davet ediyorum. Kaderinizi değiştiremem, ama gülümsemenizi ve ilham bulmanızı blogum aracılığıyla sağlayabilirim. Madem şu anda burada benimlesiniz, bu anın tadını beraber çıkaracağız. Bloguma hoşgeldiniz...
